Jeff Green is a veteran of the NASCAR Busch Series. In his 237 starts in the series, Green has racked up 16 victories, 26 poles, 87 top-five finishes and 126 top-10 finishes.

Green made his NASCAR Busch Series debut at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway in 1990. He continued to compete in the series on a limited basis before he landed a full-time ride driving for Dale and Theresa Earnhardt for the 1995 season. He finished fifth in driver point standings that year and established himself as one of the series' most competitive drivers. Green continued to improve on his performance taking fourth in the driver point standings in 1996. In 1997, he scored the first of his 16 career victories at the inaugural NASCAR Busch Series event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. After moving up to the NASCAR Winston Cup series for limited schedules in 1997 and 1998, Green returned full-time to the Busch Series in 1999 where he finished second in the NASCAR Busch Series point standings.

In 2000, Green dominated the Busch Series circuit. He racked up three wins, 15-top five finishes and 19 top-10 finishes on his way to winning the championship title by the largest margin in the series' history - 616 points. In 2001, Green continued his success taking home four wins, 16 top-five finishes, 26 top-10 finishes and three poles in a campaign that fell just short of defending his championship title. His success in the Busch Series caught the eye of NASCAR team owner Richard Childress and in 2002 Green returned to the Winston Cup Series. In 2003, Green has competed in partial Winston Cup and Busch schedules.

Green comes from a family of racecar drivers and often shares the racetrack with his brothers David Green, driver of the No. 37 Busch Series car and Mark Green who competes in the Busch Series on a limited basis.

Jeff Green, along with his brothers, founded The Green Foundation. The charitable corporation was established to assist organizations dedicated to developing youth and to aid families of drivers and crewmembers who have suffered severe head and life-threatening injuries. While Green and his wife Michelle currently live in North Carolina, he calls Owensboro, Kentucky home - a place he returns to often to participate in his favorite pastimes - hunting, fishing and exploring the outdoors.
