TIM FEDEWA TO DRIVE HERZOG JACKSON
MOTORSPORTS EXCEDRIN QUICKTABS CHEVROLET IN CHARLOTTE
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (October 2, 2002) –
Herzog Jackson Motorsports announced today that Tim Fedewa
has been selected to drive the Excedrin QuickTabs Chevrolet
Monte Carlo in the upcoming Little Trees 300 NASCAR Busch
Series event at Lowe’s (Concord, N.C.) Motor Speedway
on October 12.
“Everyone involved with Herzog Jackson
Motorsports is glad to have the opportunity to work with Tim
Fedewa,” stated owner Randy Herzog. “On top of
being a good driver, Tim is also a good person who has definitely
been underutilized this season. He will bring some fresh ideas
to the team, and we are looking forward to heading to Charlotte
with him behind the wheel of the Excedrin QuickTabs Chevrolet.”
Fedewa, a veteran of the series, entered his
first Busch Series race at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway in 1992.
Since then, he has posted 24 top-five and 61 top-10 finishes
in 260 starts. He has been victorious on four occasions and
has earned four pole positions in nine full seasons in the
series. Fedewa finished seventh in the driver point standings
in both 1995 and 1998.
“This is a great opportunity for me
with Herzog Jackson Motorsports,” said Fedewa. “It’s
a good team with some of the best equipment and people out
there. I feel fortunate to have been asked to step in and
help them out and am confident that together we can be successful
in Charlotte.”
Herzog Jackson Motorsports, a third-year Busch
Series team, has posted nine top-10 and six top-5 finishes
during the 2002 season. The team won the event at Kentucky
Speedway in June before earning the pole position at Chicagoland
Speedway in July.
