TODD BODINE RETURNS TO HERZOG JACKSON
MOTORSPORTS
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (October 29, 2002) - Herzog
Jackson Motorsports announced
today that Todd Bodine will be back behind the wheel of the
No. 92 Excedrin
QuickTabs Chevrolet for the remaining three races of the 2002
NASCAR Busch
Series season.
Bodine, who also drives the No. 26 Discover
Card Ford in the NASCAR Winston
Cup Series, piloted the Herzog Jackson Motorsports Chevrolet
to a win at
Kentucky Speedway in June, and a pole position at Chicagoland
Speedway in
July. In 25 starts with the team in 2002, Bodine posted six
top-five and
eight top-10 finishes.
"We're glad to
have Todd back," stated team co-owner Stan Herzog. "We
certainly
understood his desire to concentrate on his Winston Cup team,
but are thrilled
with his decision to return. Tim Fedewa did a good job for
us and we were
lucky to have found someone of his caliber to fill in for
those three races.
The team enjoys working with Todd and appreciates
the knowledge and experience
he brings. Herzog Jackson Motorsports had a great deal of
success with
Todd in the driver's seat this year, and we hope that these
final three
races will be the best of the season."
"Honestly, I just
missed being a part of this Excedrin QuickTabs Racing
team," commented Bodine. "This is a great organization
and we'd like to
finish what we started. The remaining races on the schedule
are in conjunction
with the Cup Series, so I think that has eased some of the
pressures of
my schedule. Our plan is to go out there and show everyone
what this team
is capable of. We've got three races left and I think together
we can win
them all."
Bodine will make his return to the NASCAR
Busch Series beginning this weekend
for the running of the Sam's Club 200 at North Carolina Speedway.
